Hardcover, 153pp. SIGNED and inscribed by author on ffep: "Please accept, Dear Miss Bregy, this little 'Mother' book. I would never venture to give it -(for it's imperfections are so many!) did I not know that my inspiration is known and loved by you. -The Mother of Sergt. Joyce Kilmer, January 1926" Laid in are clippings: one magazine photo of Lt. Chris Kilmer, son of Sgt. Joyce Kilmer shaking hands with Col. Martin Meaney, and a newspaper clipping summarizing the movie "The Fighting 69th", in which the Sargeant Joyce Kilmer is portrayed in the movie. Profusely illustrated. Very light foxing to front endpapers, and to page 21, which is where the magazine clipping is laid in. Red cloth boards have title gilted in gold on front board and spine. Extremely light wear, mainly at top and bottom of spine, and corners. We ship daily.
